The President Invites Families of Injured National Guard Personnel to the Presidential Residence
President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has invited the relatives of a Guard member killed last week to come to the executive mansion.
He added that he spoke to her parents and they were “heartbroken”.

Specialist Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a violent incident on Wednesday in the nation's capital.
Her fellow service member, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in critical condition.
Memorials across the state have taken place in their honor.
Presidential Call
The commander-in-chief explained he’s talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both members of the West Virginia National Guard.
“I said: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, visit the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump told journalists. “And in the same way with him, recover or not.”

Community members assembled over the past few days at the high school in West Virginia to remember Sarah.
Both the soldiers had been fulfilling duties with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s government program to aid public safety in Washington DC.
Remembering the Soldier
“Sarah was the individual that educators desired. She conducted herself with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a positive energy that encouraged those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the head of Beckstrom’s former high school, stated to the press. “She was sweet, considerate and always ready to assist people.”
Funeral details for Beckstrom are still being arranged.
Legal Steps and Policy Adjustments
Law enforcement have charged a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and two counts of violent assault while carrying a weapon.
The event prompted the government to pause refugee claims and halt issuing entry permits to possessors of Afghan passports.

Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, started his military career in early 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, according to the news agency.
