The Reform UK leader Accuses Educators of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike within weeks a success at the polls for his party, accusing them of “poisoning our kids” by instructing children that African-Caribbean youth are oppressed and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

During an event for a Michigan-based religious institution, the politician expressed his viewpoint on British schools, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “taken over schooling”.

“I’m anticipating a teachers’ strike soon after securing a victory,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They create division, not uniting us. They promote this harmful mindset.”

Reacting to these assertions, the head of a major education union dismissed the idea that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. Kebede noted that industrial action must relate to educators’ working conditions, and questioned whether Reform would attack these right after taking office.

“The politician has crafted his political career on coded rhetoric and now, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their unions for a fight,” the union leader said.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. Neither I nor our union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … If he were to lead the government he would undermine state services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for students and learning.”

The party, which tops surveys by a significant margin, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and does not appear to have designated an education lead.

Nonetheless, his comments indicated the party would overhaul the system and the curriculum. Farage declared: “We have got a massive job with schooling – truly monumental. Moreover, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, years to turn this around.”

Farage expressed that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Paying tribute to a conservative activist, he commented: “All I want education to do to teach critical thinking – to instruct people that there are two points of view and they should decide for themselves as opposed to what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in the UK and US.”

Reform has previously clashed with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that young minds be corrupted through education, their minds should be poisoned regarding national issues” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash youth opposed to his party.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The leading teachers’ organization has hundreds of thousands of members.

National strikes over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years caused widespread disruption in schools and extensive missed instruction for students.

At the US event, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the online educational material of the Christian college in the UK. He stated such groups were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I am serious. I will help attract vast numbers of youth to these educational programs. I make that commitment tonight and I’ll do that.”

The institution, a religious educational establishment, provides complimentary classes. Its website states: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to maintain the benefits of freedom. It offers these excellent programs for free to all who wish to learn.”
